About Me

My name is Sierra Sanders.  I am 18 years old, newly a high school graduate, hoping to help others by sharing my struggles with headaches/migraines.  See, for me, a migraine and a headache are the same thing, because every headache I have is classified as a migraine.  I have had a migraine all day every day since July of 2013.  The only variation in the migraine is its level of intensity.  I won't go into the details on this page, but I will go very into detail throughout this blog.
I am also a Christian.  To me, being a Christian means you follow God and have accepted Him into your heart of your own accord, not because it was the appropriate time.  Ideally, Christians fully lean into God's embrace and guiding hand.  Realistically, we all try to go it alone, and end up falling into God's support.  Throughout the process of having chronic migraines, I have tried my hardest to handle it alone.  Recently, I have been able to gain some distance from the pain, which has helped me realize that I did not and do not need to go it alone.  I did not come to this conclusion on my own either, but with the help from my friends and family.
Some people do not have supportive friends and/or family, so my goal for this blog is to be at least one person's friend and family.  Everybody deserves a family, and I am not about to stand by and watch satan deprive people of a family.  Christians are not required to or asked to step in and be someone's shoulder to cry on, but we are supposed to guide others to the biggest, softest, everlasting shoulder, God's shoulder.
